Safety on Atlas

How to report problems, control contact and escalate urgent concerns.

Last updated 25 August 2026

Use the report control

Report a discussion, reply or private message from the content itself. Include enough context for a moderator to understand the concern. Reports are private and are not shown to the reported member.

Control private contact

Decline unfamiliar message requests or block the sender. Blocking prevents both people from messaging each other. Your blocked-members list is available from Messages settings.

Urgent or illegal material

Choose the urgent safety or illegal-content report reason when available. Atlas administrators prioritise those reports. Do not download, redistribute or investigate suspected illegal material yourself.

Immediate danger

Atlas is not an emergency service. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact the local emergency services. In the United Kingdom call 999 for an emergency or 101 for a non-emergency police matter.

Appeal a decision

Signed-in members can use the appeals page for an active warning or ban. Safety decisions may remain in force while an appeal is reviewed.
